PMG replaces Microsoft™ for improved project and program management
01 June 2004 - Hydra Managementplc , the program and collaborative management software specialist, today announced that it has signed an international contract with a leading IT supplier for the pharmaceuticals industry. Hydra has already replaced Microsoft Project™ across the company's UK division and is now set to roll out across their US divisions, enhancing their ability to develop and support leading edge software applications for the Clinical Research market. Hydra was live in the UK division only 4 weeks after the original contract was signed with PMG and, following their completion of a management buy-out by an American company in November 2000, the contract has been extended to rolling out Hydra Manager (project and program management) and Hydra Personal (timesheet and personal management) across two sites in the USA, Boston and Boulder-Colorado. Peter Bondar, CEO for PMG PLC, said: “Hydra will allow them to continue to grow their business with great certainty about their project, program and resource planning activities. In particular it will address their requirements for: Synchronising high-level planning with accurate and up to date project plans “When compared to their discrete, task-centric planning systems, Hydra will offer an integrated and holistic approach to managing a complex set of projects and resources and their interdependencies. It will provide them with an enterprise wide view of business activity and performance, and empower their users to manage plans without having to construct scenarios and then reconcile errors and inconsistencies. Hydra will also ensure accuracy and remove unnecessary and time consuming manual intervention.” Added Bondar. “This is just one example of the successful partnerships we have with customers in the IT industry. We have successfully worked with them in the UK and have effectively engaged with their US divisions. Each time they are looking to benefit from best practice from a specialist who thoroughly understands their business and to exploit Hydra's flexibility and ease of use to meet the unique project management challenges of project and resource management in their territories.” |
